HTTP error codes: 400 bad request — validate payload schema and required fields. 401 unauthenticated — check the Bearer token. 403 forbidden — check role and scopes. 404 not found — verify the resource ID exists. 409 conflict — duplicate incident creation prevented. 422 validation error — check enum values. 429 rate limited — honor Retry-After and back off. 500 server error — retry with exponential backoff. 502 bad gateway — retry after 30 seconds and check status.slashield.io.
